History
2010
As part of the Government’s National Anti-Crisis Programme in 2010, the Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism decided to change the company’s trading name from National Climate Change Technology Centre EAD to State Consolidation Company EAD. This change was made in implementation of Decision No. 180 of the Council of Ministers of 01.04.2010, which approved measures to restore the economy, increase employment and improve the life standard of the population, combined with measures to increase budget revenues and restore budgetary discipline in the country. Privatisation is planned of all minority shareholdings in the capital of commercial companies owned by the Bulgarian State through their initial contribution to the capital of the State Consolidation Company EAD, followed by their subsequent sale by the Company.
2012
In 2012, the Company was able to realize a revenue of nearly BGN 276 500 000 from the sale of the minority interest in the capital of EVN Bulgaria Elektrosnabdiavane AD, EVN Bulgaria Elektrodistribution AD, E.ON Bulgaria Prodazhbi AD, E.ON Bulgaria Mregi AD, CEZ Elektro Bulgaria AD and CEZ Razпредеenie Bulgaria AD, following an open procedure by the Privatization and Post-Privatization Control Agency through a public offering on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
2013
In 2013, Vazov Machine-Building Plants, the largest state-owned enterprise in the military-industrial complex, experienced serious financial difficulties. Thanks to the capital increase of 27 000 000 BGN carried out by State Consolidation Company EAD, the plant was financially secured, a large part of the delayed wages of the workers were paid, funds were secured for the purchase of materials, and operations were successfully resumed. In the same year, a decision was taken to increase the capital of Sofia Tech Park by BGN 7 000 000 from State Consolidation Company EAD, in return for which SCC acquired 7 000 000 ordinary registered shares, equivalent to 12,68 % of the capital. The funds were used for the successful implementation of the Science and Technology Park project in Sofia.
2016
In 2016, following a series of decisions of the Council of Ministers and protocols of the sole owner, in SCC’s capital are contributed shares and stakes of commercial companies with principal the Minister of Economy, that are falling under the List under Article 3, paragraph 1 of the Privatisation and Post-Privatisation Control Act, which is Annex 1 to the Act. Thus, State Consolidation Company EAD is transformed into a holding structure and its activities are mainly focused on the management of subsidiaries.
In 2016, State Consolidation Company EAD purchased at public sale 99.97% of the shares of the “Avionams” AD aircraft repair plant, an organisation of importance for the national security of the country.2018-2019
By decisions of the Council of Ministers in 2018 and 2019, State Consolidation Company EAD is designated as the organization to implement strategic projects – the procurement, repair and reconstruction of critical hydraulic infrastructure, as well as the design and construction of a new government complex of buildings for the needs of state administration.
